Summer Academy at the State Ballet School

This summer sees an experiment in dance - for the first time the House of World Cultures has started a cooperative venture with the State Ballet School of Berlin under its artistic director Gregor Seyffert. The State Ballet School was quick to recognise the enormous potential in having dancers from all over the world collected in Berlin during the IN TRANSIT festival, and enthusiastically agreed to provide them with the chance to gain an insight into the European ballet tradition.
The Summer Academy will bring together Koffi Kôkô, two African musicians and students from the Ballet School for a week-long session.
